We couldn't have asked for a better first meeting with Senator Schumer's New York City office. Dave, Chris, Ruby and Olav were welcomed on Tuesday by Phillip Goldfeder, Director of Intergovernmental Affairs, at the NYC office of Senator Schumer.
Phillip was an unstoppable machine of welcome, quips, understanding and praise and he made us feel not only at home, but most importantly heard. Phil listened carefully to our asks (with intern phenom Farah taking detailed notes) and promised to connect us with John Jones, legislative aide in D.C., so we could follow-up on our specific requests.
We're grateful to Regional Coordinator Chris Geer for beginning the NYC Results / One.org partnership as well as to Ruby Thomas and Olav Athayde for their articulate insights and passion.
