NYC RESULTS participates in "The Future of U.S. Foreign Assistance” with Rep. Nita Lowey

NYC Results member Alice Gugelev joined
100 attendees from various organizations including Clinton Global Initiative, UNDC, Human Rights Watch, Int'l Aids Vaccine Initiative to participate in an exclusive conversation with with Rep. Nita Lowey who serves as Chairwoman of the State and Foreign Operations Subcommittee.

The meeting was organized by the Council on Foreign Relations and took place at their offices on the upper east side. Rep. Lowey spoke about core NYCRESULTS issues such as metrics for use with global education programs and the specific structure of the $2B Global Education Fund promised by President-Elect Obama. NYC Results was able to expand our base of connections, thank Rep. Lowey for her work and remind her that New Yorkers are paying attention, and learn a great deal about the new administration and congressional plans for foreign aid reform.

Thanks again to Alice and to the Council on Foreign Relations for giving us this great opportunity.
